Hello my name is Kai Catalan and I am writting on behalf of Access Lock & Safe Services, In Canoga Park, CA 91303. I recently read something that I had to blog about. Let me first start off by saying. I am not the experienced locksmith, but have had a lot of behind the scenes experience. Now with that said, back to it. I read on the CLA’s(CA Locksmith Association), a code of ethics that i had to post.
As a member of the California Locksmith Association, I pledge:
- To recognize an obligation to my profession of safeguarding the health and welfare of humanity and to perform work completely.
- To assume my responsibility of promoting harmony and good will among my associates, fellow members and the industry.
- To strive to understand the principles of sound business and to practice honesty and sincerity at all times.
- To be of good moral character and to carefully guard and retain the confidence of my community and those I serve.
- To deal fairly with my associates and avoid discrediting others in my profession.
- To recognize the necessity of knowledge and devote a part of my time in educational study in order to keep abreast of the industry and profession.
- To be ever mindful that BETTER SERVICE THROUGH KNOWLEDGE is a fundamental attribute toward dignity and recognition to my profession as a locksmith.
This has got to be one of the best code of ethics any site has posted. I truely do believe that at Access Lock and Safe Services we couldnt of said it better outselfs. Our owner and Lead Locksmith Safe Tech. Nim M. Ohayon has been a locksmith/ safetech for ten years. All I can remmeber is Nim, watching me struggle on a lock and forcing me to do it over till it was right. Not only because it has to be right for the clients security, but so that I learned how to do it right ensuring that i do every job to perfection because and I quote “if you do it wrong you give locksmiths a bad name, and your not a locksmith yet are you?”. Lock, Safe, Security System, DVR, Safe Installation, Safe Opening, Picking Locks, the more jobs i went with Nim on the more i realized how important having a good, legit locksmith is important. Your letting a locksmith into the parts of your life that you are trying to, meaning keep someone out. The more a started understanding the importance of doing the jobs right, the more I noticed how many people get screwed and the jobs done wrong, or in the old school terms of my boss and others “Mickey Moused). This is leading back to the code of ethics posted by the CLA. Access Lock & Safe Services has one goal get the job done right and the best way to do that is build a network of legitament Certified Professionals. So acting on speaking Access Lock and Safe Services, Inc. reccomends all locksmiths register with the Accredited Groups and Assocaitions such as ALOA, SAVTA, Clear Star, CLA, and many more, so that the citizens understand the importance of chosing a locksmith/safetech carefully and as well have the resources to check if the locksmith they have chosen is Experienced, Professional, and Trusthworthy. So next time you need a lock changed, safe opened, security system, safe,or dvr installed or are a locksmith just starting dont hesitate register yourself. Going to conventions and seminars will only help us further ourselfs in the field thats why everyday Access Lock & Safe Services strives on learning every tool and niche of the trait. Always locking for inovations in the fields of safes, safe cracking tools, Lock,Lockpicking Methods and Tools and security systems. Every day is a lesson and just Like CLA’s code of ethics we must strive to be the best and set the bath for the generations to come.

I want to say that when you call a locksmith you expect the job done but Nim was exceptional. He was extremely pleasant and professional and he opened my safe very quickly. I had some personal items that I needed to remove from the premises and sell quickly. He took them away and I trusted him completely with them.
